A breathtaking bridge that spans one of the gorges in the Shenxianju valley in the province of Zhejiang is the Ruyi Bridge, a recently opened tourist attraction in eastern China erected at a height of 140 meters. The sinuous curve of a “Ruyi,” an item of eastern culture and a symbol of happiness and good omen, served as the inspiration for this amazing modern marvel, which is 100 meters long.

The Ruyi Bridge is a two-story interweaving bridge with three wave-like pathways that are primarily constructed of translucent glass. This oddity sets it apart from other Tibetan bridges. The remarkable integration of this modern architecture with the breath-taking setting of the “Shenxianju National Park” is breathtaking.

The legendary architect He Yunchang, who also worked on the renowned Bird’s Nest and the Beijing National Stadium, constructed the bridge.

The bridge was officially opened in September 2020, and in a very short period of time it rose to the status of one of the region’s top attractions. Over 200,000 people, all fearless and brave travelers willing to scale dizzying heights to experience the exhilarating sensation of being suspended in a void amid the clouds, have been drawn in by the magnificent scenic effect of this great engineering masterpiece.
