A single tree provides a special way to record the changes that take place throughout the year. The collaborative work One Tree Four Seasons by Swedish architect and artist Ulf Mejergrenand Finnish artist Antti Laitinen exemplifies this idea of time passing. As the name implies, they are using natural resources to create four distinct works of art that are based on a single tree. With a large husk of branches encircling the smaller trunk, the results highlight the beauty, at times lush and at other times stark, that the landscape has to offer.
The tree is isolated in a field outside Nykvarn, about 45 minutes by car from Stockholm.
