British ceramicist Katharine Morling is an expert in her field. She fashions stunning porcelain works that resemble three-dimensional black-and-white drawings of everyday items, people, and animals.

Drawings in three dimensions would best describe my work. Each sculpture, which appears to be an inanimate object on the surface, has been given layers of emotion and has stories embedded in it that are open to many interpretations. I work extremely spontaneously, and the elements of my works are narrative in nature; they build upon one another to tell my evolving story. My artwork expresses my inner exploration in homey and eerie scenes. I have to have faith and confidence in my ability to communicate using this medium.
