Amazingly, Anna Mitchell, 30, and her husband Nick from Mansfield discovered they were expecting not just one child, but three. In July, she gave birth to her triplet gifts from heaven, and this Christmas will be the first time the family will spend it together.

When the couple started trying for a child, Anna’s mother Nicola learned she had liver cancer. While her mother was in a hospice, just before she passed away, she lost her first child due to an ectopic pregnancy, in which the baby develops in the fallopian tube rather than the womb. In the summer of 2010, she miscarried her second child through an ectopic pregnancy. The following month, in November 2010, she miscarried her third child.

After she miscarried her second child, she was taken into the operating room, where her fallopian tube was removed. Losing these pregnancies was potentially fatal for Anna because each time, her fallopian tube might have ruptured. I had one of my fallopian tubes removed by doctors. It was heartbreaking because it decreased my chances of becoming a mother. After losing my third child, I was in shock. I’d already miscarried three children. I was frightened that I would never become a mother.

Anna was informed by the doctors that it would be unlikely for her to ever get pregnant naturally. Consequently, the couple decided to try IVF treatment using the funds Anna had been left by her deceased mother.

I was going to utilize it to start IVF treatment she said. I needed assistance if I couldn’t naturally be a mother. And her mother’s money was the perfect gift. She had giving me the chance to become a mother because she knew how much I wanted to. It was terrible, but I knew we had to keep trying, Anna remarked. It’s what my mother would have preferred. They therefore tried again in April 2012, but Anna once more had Ectopic pregnancy- and lost her fourth baby. In December 2012, they decided to give it one last go, and she became pregnant .

I almost dared to breathe while I lay on the scanning table, she remarked. And   there it was – a little heartbeat pumping away.
. I wept with relief. I’d lost   four children, here it was a heart beat in the right place at last,  I had the impression that my mother was supporting me from above. However, the sonographer  had incredible news for them at 13 weeks – there were actually three babies within. “I almost fell off the table with it,” she said. I then started crying once again. Not just one, but three babies were coming into the world. Three of my babies were due at once after waiting all these years to have one. And I owe it everything to my mother; it was her triple-heavenly gift to me. In July, the babies were delivered one after the other.

at the Kingsmill Hospital in Mansfield through Caesarean section. Joseph and Jacob, who are identical twins, each weighed 3Ib8 while Summer weighed 4Ib5.

We haven’t bothered decorating our home in years because there are only the two of us and no kids to fill it with, Anna added. But this Christmas, we have three adorable little excuses to adorn the entire house with ornaments, tinsel, and lights. With our three little miracles, Summer, Joseph, and Jacob, it’s their first Christmas, and we intend to make the most of it. However, there is one person we won’t soon forget: mum, who made it all possible. With our three gifts from above, this Christmas will be the most incredible one yet.

. I’ve completely decorated the house, and I’m sure that mom is watching over us from above. All of that has been made up for by having three children. And we’re going to enjoy the finest Christmas ever thanks to mom and her wonderful present.
