If you’re tired of small babies, give a thought to Mrs Sharon Cutts, who just became the UK’s oldest mother of triplets at 55.
Sharon Cutts, 55, welcomed sons Mason and Ryan and daughter Lily on March 21. After spending around $28,000 on IVF treatment in an attempt to start a family with her partner , Stuart Reynolds, 40 years old.

Ms Cutts, who has four grown children from a previous relationship, said she was not concerned that the children were younger than her grandchildren. “It means they have a lot of playmates,” she said.
When Sharon met factory worker Stuart on a dating site, he wanted to start a family – but Sharon was going through menopause, so the couple’s only option was to fertilize her with sᴘᴇʀᴍ. Stuart with the anonymous egg.
When an attempt at a private clinic in London failed, they flew to Cʏᴘʀᴜs, where women can have IVF up to the age of 60. Doctors implanted four embryos into Sharon’s uterus, and three survived. .
Ms Cutts said: ‘I knew there was a possibility of multiple births because the doctor had placed four embryos in me, to give me a better chance of conceiving. At the tomography session, we were told that there were three heartBᴇᴀᴛs. Stuart was taken aback and I was in Tᴇᴀʀs, crying with joy.
“Oh my God, how am I going to ᴄᴏᴘe?” was my initial thought.
