As of 1 p.m. on Saturday, border crossings on roadways and at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc international airport had longer wait times due to technological system issues, according to the national police headquarters.
Work is being done to fix the issues, but before leaving, travelers are encouraged to visit the police’s Hatarinfo website for border crossing information and the Rutin mobile app for road information.
According to authorities, simplified border crossing procedures have been implemented to shorten wait times.
Since 5 o’clock, there has been no interruption of border traffic, the police said.
There were no longer substantial delays because of the streamlined border crossing processes that were implemented to shorten the wait times, according to the police.
