AFCON 2021 Update: Cyril Desser Set To Replace Jude Ighalo As 26 Players Now In Super Eagles Camp

24 players have arrived in the Super Eagles camp in Abuja with Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi the latest player to arrive.

Players still expected to hit the Super Eagles training base include Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo, Samuel Chukwueze, Jamilu Collins, Tyrone Ebuehi, and Cyril Dessers who is set to replace Ighalo in the Nigeria AFCON squad.

Ighalo is set to be drop after his Saudi club refused to release him because his contract has a clause that stopped him from honouring national duty.

The Feyernood forward who is set to replace Odion Ighalo has scored 9 goals and an assist in 21 appearance for the Dutch side

Nigeria will be aiming to win their 4th AFCON title in Cameroon when they face Egypt on January 11th in Garoua.
